Be a Part of the 2017 4th of July Parade

The City of Hamilton’s Fourth of July Committee has announced the theme for the 2017 4th of July Parade and Patriotic program – “Celebrating Hamilton’s History With its Churches”. The Michael J. Colligan Fund of the Hamilton Community Foundation will be recognizing a number of floats or parade units who best carry out this year's theme with monetary awards. 

Prizes are as follows:

Grand Prize: $1,000

Non-Scout Floats

  • 1st: $750 
  • 2nd: $500
  • 3rd: $200

Scout Floats

  • 1st: $200
  • 2nd: $100
  • 3rd: $75

Hamilton’s 4th of July celebration is one of the largest in the area. This year will the mark the 55th annual Parade. Following the parade will be a Patriotic program at the Butler County Court House. During the program Pastor Shaquila Matthews will deliver the Invocation and Pastor John Lewis will deliver the keynote address. Music will be provided by the Hamilton Concert Band, the Hamilton Elementary Schools summer music program and a community church choir. Local Veterans will also be recognized.
