Colerain Township Wins Award for Recycling Programs

On Wednesday, November 15th, Colerain Township will be honored with the Most Improved Community Award by the Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District.


Through the implementation of recycling programs like the Township's Recycle Day and Simple Recycling's curbside textile recycling, Colerain Township has led the County in increasing its rate of recycling!

• Best Township Recycling Rate: Columbia

• Most Improved Community: Colerain Township

• Recycling at Work Program of the Year: Everything But The House

• Excellence in Public Recycling: City of Mt. Healthy

• Best Multifamily Recycling: Wynbrook Apartments

• Outstanding School Recycling Program: Mercy Montessori

• Outstanding Recycling Educator: Sarah Newman, Sycamore Community Schools

• Student Recycler of the Year: Hailey Recker, Amity Elementary School

• Save the Food Award: Midwest Culinary Institute at Cincinnati State

• Restaurant Recycling Award: Casa Figueroa

• Friend of Recycling: Sarah Stankorb, Wyoming City Schools
