Volunteer Zoning Board Opportunities

Volunteer Zoning Board Opportunities

The Colerain Township Trustees are looking for interested citizens who want to have an impact on the future development of the Township. The Colerain Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals are volunteer boards which expire a regular and an alternate member term each year. At the end of each year, it is the Planning & Zoning Staff’s goal to assess interested applicants for possible new members. Interested Colerain residents are eligible and encouraged to apply. The Zoning Commission helps guide land use decisions and reviews plans for new developments and development modifications. The Board of Zoning Appeals reviews applications for special consideration when development is unable to align with established regulations.

The Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meet on average once each month in the evening at the Township Administration Building. The meetings encourage neighborhood participation in the decision making process with the overall goal of improving the quality of life in Colerain. No experience is necessary to apply.

Anyone interested in joining either of these boards can send a letter of interest and resume to Jenna LeCount, Director of Building, Planning and Zoning by e-mail at jlecount@colerain.org or at 4200 Springdale Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45251 by December 1, 2017. Contact the Zoning Department at 385-7505 with any questions.
