Cerkl’s No Layoff Pledge

Companies are frequently judged not by when times are good, but how they react when times are bad. COVID-19 has undoubtedly introduced a tremendous amount of uncertainty for everyone in all industries, especially those in hospitality, travel, retail, and real estate.

We’re fortunate to be a technology company and even more lucky to be focused on supporting those responsible for communicating critical information out to their audiences. We’ve always been a company focused on our customer’s success – above all else. If you’re successful, we’re successful.

So when I was asked by my friend Alex Yastrebenetsky, CEO of InfoTrust, to join the “No Layoff Pledge,” it was easy. We’d already made this decision that we had committed to in early March when this first began. Like we stick with our customers during their most challenging times, so will we stick with our employees, their families, and the communities in which they live.

I also wanted to go beyond no layoffs. I have decided to reduce my compensation to zero to minimize any impact to our employee’s salaries. I’m confident that we’ll soon settle into a “new normal.” In the meantime, the more we can do to eliminate uncertainty in each other’s lives, the better it will be for everyone.

We’ll get through this together.
